December 2022 Newsletter

As of today, the Centre for Plant Success has been up and running for two years! It feels like just yesterday that I received the confirmation that the Centre had been funded, but when I look at all we have achieved since then I can see that we are well on our way to some truly exciting advancements in plant science and beyond. Our members never cease to impress me and I am truly grateful to be at the helm of this great Centre.

At the end of May/start of June, we held our second Research Retreat which was the first time we were able to get all the Nodes together in person. It was a real highlight of the year for me and emphasised what a fantastic team we are building. We would not be where we are without our associate members, there are many of you who are contributing heavily to not only Centre research but also to our positive culture. I know that there can be some confusion about the nomenclature of member types but regardless of who you are, we hope that your time with the Centre brings you opportunities, challenges, and rewards.

As travel ramps back up again, I can see that people have been feeling a bit worn out so I do encourage you to plan some well-earned time off to relax.
