February 2023 Newsletter

The Centre has hit the ground running in 2023 with plenty of research activity, collaborations, travel, and events underway. I have been particularly enjoying seeing all the action happening in the fields of the Hermitage Research Facility by Chief Investigator David Jordan‘s team. The sorghum trials are coming along and we are thankfully in a very different place to the flood events that were occurring this time last year.

Plans for the 2023 Research Retreat and ECR Workshop are taking shape which I am excited to announce will be held in Cairns. Centre members will receive further communication about those events in due course and we look forward to having many of you attend.

We have also been working on the Annual Report for 2022 and really appreciate everyone who has provided information on the many activities that took place last year. It is great to reflect on everything that the Centre has achieved so far and we look forward to sharing the report with you soon.

David Tomlins
Chief Operating Officer
